The Louisiana Senior Olympic
Games
(LSOG) is a non-profit organization that promotes
wellness and improved quality of life for people age 50+
through sports and physical training and active involvement
(the October State Games track & field competition is open to
40+ Masters Athletes).
We plan, promote and conduct a
statewide program that includes competitive games in ten
cities across the state, plus the annual State Games
held every year in the fall in Baton Rouge. The LSOG State
Games serve as the qualifying site for the biennial
National Senior Games – “The Senior Olympics.”
Membership dues for LSOG will be $15 as of January 1, 2009. This change is necessary due to the rising costs to operate our organization in today’s economy. We realize many of you are faced with the same financial challenges and adjustments, but please take into consideration that dues have not been raised in twenty-four years.
Membership is January 1, 2010 – December 31, 2010.
Membership Forms will be available for 2011 in December 2010. Check back to print one from this site.
People who sign up before April 15, 2010 will receive the 2010 State Games entry form and pay a reduced State Games basic entry fee.
Memberships are good for one year. In the past, athletes who paid after the deadline had $10 of their late membership fee credited as payment for the upcoming year. This policy has changed due to the hard economic times.
Your membership also helps us maintain our website, www.lsog.net, keeping you informed of Senior Olympic events at the District, State, and National levels. Remember to include your email address so we can send you regular updates about LSOG through email broadcasts. Stick with us as we move into the future, and bring a friend along for the ride.
